Erica Stanford on stage giving her TEDx talk on scams and fraud

Writing and speaking

I write and speak internationally about disinformation and misinformation, fraud and scams, digital risk and risk mitigation, stablecoins, agentic AI and agentic payments, and the environmental impact of AI.

I have written for publishers including Oxford University Press, LexisNexis, Kogan Page, Edward Elgar, Sweet & Maxwell and Global Legal Insights, and have contributed chapters on crypto, crypto crime and AI to a number of other textbooks. I recently completed a masters in data and AI ethics at the University of Edinburgh.

I work at an international law firm, advising on crypto and digital assets, digital crime and risk, and on AI, AI ethics and the risks that come with it. I also advise global technology companies on digital asset and AI risk.

I can now also speak and write about training and preparing for an Antarctica crossing alongside a full-time job.
